Piqua named a ‘labor magnet’

The national workforce intelligence and consulting firm Growth Services Group (GSG) recently completed a Labor Commuting Certification for the city of Piqua that provides information about the workforce available in the area. One of its key findings is that Piqua is a “labor magnet.”
“The biggest statement in that report to me is that Piqua is a labor magnet,” Justin Sommer, assistant city manager and economic development director for the city of Piqua, said. “What it confirms is that we do have strong employers here in Piqua that are able to attract a workforce regionally.”
