Law Director/Prosecutor

The City of Piqua, Ohio, a Charter City of just under 21,000, approximately 25 miles north of Dayton in Miami County, is seeking a full-time Law Director/Prosecutor.

The Law Director/Prosecutor reports directly to the City Manager and is a member of the Senior Leadership Team. The position plans, organizes and directs the activities of the Legal Department including responsibility for civil litigation, drafting and reviewing legal documents, legal representation at City Commission and other City meetings, criminal prosecutions, and providing municipal related legal advice to elected officials and City staff. Graduation from an accredited law school and membership in good standing of the Ohio State Bar is required.  Five or more years of municipal law experience is required.
