Piqua Hosts "Minding Your Business" Workshop

Interested In Building And Marketing Your Business?

Dave Hafenbrack, a seasoned marketing veteran, will be presenting a free workshop entitled “Minding Your Own Business” on Tuesday, May 23, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the City Commission Chambers. The presentation is being cosponsored by the City of Piqua, Positively Promoting Piqua (PPP) and Mainstreet Piqua. The public is invited.

The presentation is being delivered by Hafenbrack who has minded his own successful marketing business for 40 years. He will discuss the best approaches to building and marketing a thriving business. In addition, he will discuss building a solid foundation that sets the framework for future success. “From knowing your audience, to best marketing channels to avoiding those entrepreneurial pitfalls,” he notes, “come listen, learn and engage”.

Hafenbrack is a graduate of Ball State University with a triple major in advertising, education and photography. His past employment experiences include E.F. MacDonald Corporation, Long & Associates, and Armco Corporation in Middletown. In 1980, he founded Hafenbrack Marketing and Communications. For 40 years, Hafenbrack Marketing was one of the most successful agencies in the region. HMC was acquired by Oxiem in 2013 becoming Upward Brand Interactions. Upward is the largest marketing firm in the Miami Valley with five offices located throughout Ohio and an Interactive Design Center in Europe.

In 2012 Hafenbrack was honored with a “Lifetime Achievement Award” for his contribution to the advertising industry by the American Advertising Association.
