The Upper Valley Career Center offers outstanding career development counseling and training for students planning their future, for adults wanting to upgrade their skills or change career, or employers planning corporate training. Upper Valley's Adult Education Division offers afffordable training relevant for today's in-demand jobs. Among the school's innovative traning curriculum is its Alternative Energy and Green Systems Management program, which offers participants a variety of training in this new and growing field.
Edison Community College provides life-long for Piqua area students and residents at its main campus and at several branch campuses throughout the region. The college has 3.000 students enrolled in about 30 technical fields in a broad range of developmental cource work, baccaluareate transfer programs and contiunuing education offerings. The Business and Industry Center at Edison focuses on the needs of companies and employees in a variety of professions. From basica electrical and mechanical to automation and robotics, the Center can enhance and improve employees' skills in technical fields. It also offers courses in office productivity, human resources development other professional development training.
The region also boasts of other educational and workforce development resources. The Dayton Region offers more than a dozen nationally recognized colleges and universities with such schools as Cedarville University, Central State University, Miami University, the University of Dayton, Wilberforce University, Wittenberg University and Wright State University.
