Grow Piqua Now is lead by Executive Director, Bill Murphy, who also serves as the City of Piqua's Assistant City Manager for Development. This dual role allows for close cooperation between Grow Piqua Now and the City's Development, Public Works and Municipal Power System departments.

Mr. Murphy has over ten years experience in economic development work in the publc, private and non-profit sectors. His areas of focus have included regional marketing and attraction, industry cluster research and local economic development incentives and regulations. Key projects have focused on healthcare, data management, logistics/distribution and other manufacturing-related clients.
Mr. Murphy is a graduate of Wright State University earning his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in 1991 and his Master of Urban/Public Administration in 1998. Mr. Murphy is also a graduate of Leadership Ohio and a 2010 graduate of Leadership Piqua. He was recongized in 2007 with The Executive Order of the Ohio Commodores, an award which recognizes the contributions of Ohioans to the state's overall economic development.
