GROW PIQUA NOW RELEASES 2011 STATE OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT REPORT

PIQUA - Grow Piqua Now released its 2011 State of Economic Development eport at its Second Annual State of Economic Development event at the Fort Piqua Plaza.  The event is part of the Piqua Area Chamber of Commerce's Legislative Events Series, which is sponsored by AT&T.

The 2011 Report highlights the conomic developmetn success stories of several local companies, including the French Oil Mill Machinery Company, Hartzell Hardwoods, Quint Creative Group and Trupoint Cooperative.

According to Lisa Whitaker, President of the Piqua Area Chamber of Commerce, "The State of Economic Development Report is a great way for us to showcase those businesses in our community that have made new investments in our City."  Adding, "It's also a great tool to show prospective businesses that our community is a great place to invest and do business."

According to Bill Murphy, Executive Director of Grow Piqua Now (GPN), the publication also helps the community track the organization's econoimc development efforts.  "Working with the Piqua Area Chamber of Commerce, Grow Piqua Now has been able to share our successes with companies throughout the Dayton Region.  It has also allowed us to produce a high-quality report to share with site selection consultants and corporate real estate professionals and the Report continues to be an integral part of our marketing program."
